OUR VISION STATEMENT A vibrant and growing organization applying the
Fundamental Principles of the Scout Movement, contributing
to the physical, intellectual, social, moral, emotional and spiritual
development of young people, thereby promoting good citizenship.
History
The first scout troop to be formed in Trinidad was at Queen’s Royal College(QRC)
under the leadership of Canon Arthur Dolly.
This was in 1912 and it was registered as 1st Port-of-Spain, but is better known
today as First QRC.
The movement came to Trinidad through the efforts of Major Randolph Rusk, an oil
magnet who was a pioneer in oil exploration in Trinidad. Scouting started in
